JC, you are almost right, but I won't be able to fill the coal bin for the AA boiler with the front-end loader, I'll have to fill it with 5 gallon buckets too.
So, unless I get real 'girlie' and hook up a loader-fillable hopper with an auger feed to fill the coal bin... nah...
My place would start to look like a breaker with augers, conveyers hoppers and bins all over the place...
I need the exercise, I think I'll still fill the coal bin with buckets.
Greg.

Thanks Gary, I am getting ready to join compulsive stoker buyers anon!
As our fearless leader said, "I'm embedding subliminal messages into the forum to convert all you bigots". We will convert you one manly man at a time! After all, is it really more manly to carry the coal to the firebox directly rather than the hopper?
:director: all together now..... men, men, men, men, girlie men, men men nfire:

I was talking with 'Manly man' JC, [although he has had thoughts about a stoker ], and he says that 'Manly men' still shake their grates..... and 'girle men' don't.
Hmmm....

Yeah well if you like shaking your own grates that is fine by me, some might even say that is self abuse. I prefer to have it done for me.LsFarm wrote:I was talking with 'real man' JC, [although he has thought about a stoker], and he says that 'real men' still shake their grates..... and 'girle men' don't. I'll most likely be firing my stove tomorrow morning....my handfed stove. Last week I realized I might have made a mistake in not buying a stoker, but it must have been those sub messages from ADMIN. I snapped out of it and an glad to be a MANLY MAN with shaker grates.

I would say Manly Man With A Side Of Girlie, if you have a hand-fed then you must be a MANLY MAN, but are slightly weak due to the stoker, hence the Side Of Girlie (which is not fully girlie, since that is balanced by the MANLY MAN HAND FED side. Actually overshadowed because it takes a MANLY MAN to run a hand-fed, and only a Girlie-Man to run a stoker).
To be honest, I have no idea what I'm talking about.
