300 Tons of Unprocessed Coal

If someone was trying to purchase about 300 tons of unprocessed anthracite, how would he go about it?

If I could afford it, I'd fill my property with that amount of coal without a second thought. Built-in price stability.

Call each breaker. Ask for the cost of Mine Run. Pay for it. Get your Tractor-Trailer convoy ready to receive it.

I am assuming that with mine run the chunks could get pretty big and of varying size?
What if he wanted coal that was up to 6" in size and would that typically cost more than mine run?

if you are buying raw anthracite expect alot of rock and other junk in it,especially if it is strip mined.also not to many breakers will sell raw coal either.

300 tons. You people are nuts. Were talking coal here, not oil. Price doesn't fluctuate THAT much, geez. What is 300 tons going to last you, the next 50 years? I thought buying 3 years worth of coal was a bit overboard. Now I've heard it all.

What good is mine run coal? Unprocessed coal will have rock in it. It could have everything from boulders to dust. It will vary in btu content because of this.

Unless.., you own a breaker....

Now if all you want is large chunks, call the breakers and see what they can do.

Although broken is no longer available through them, a breaker might consider filling a 300 ton order.

That isn't a lot of coal for a dealer, the guy in New Britain always has 2-300 tons laying around. That said, you won't save any money even if it is cheaper, unless you have the processing equipment.

Maybe we are missing something here. Is this another landscaping project?

A business aquaintance of mine owns a sand and gravel company and is looking at expanding his business with coal. So the 300 or so tons would be on a somewhat regular basis.
Just needs a bit of help gathering information on what it would take with the current equipment he has or if other equipment may be necessary.
Any advice towards that end would be great!
