Well here's the crooked tree, it was perfectly straight before. I have a rope in it already but I'm not sure it's large enough. Power lines on the left, new garage on the right. Least it's leaning away from the garage. I'll have the comealong tomorrow and I'll let you know how it turns out.

If you have to do that, at least put a small tarp under the hood and drape it over the grill down to the bottom of the bumper. Slows down on the water infiltrating the engine compartment and keeps alot of pressure off the AC and cooling heat exchangers.Wood'nCoal wrote:That Dodge is now down for the count with electrical malfunctions, possibly the on board computer. Wow that video is crazy. I wouldn't want to soak my truck like that, especially that nice dodge. Almost could have surfed off the front wake of that. I understand the adventure mentality though...

Wow ! Greetings to all you soaked Muppets out there! Basic Bottom Line Comment:"Dammit,it's Good To be Home!"....I witnessed an amazing amount of suffering and loss in the Central Jersey Area. Trees,Flooding,Sinkholes,Landslides.....Cripes,it was humbling to say the least.....Please take some time now to assess what you can do to make a nightmare like this tolerable for you and yours in the future. I enjoy the spirit of the Fine Folks on this Board. You guys rock when it comes down to being a Survivor instead of a Victim ! We found alot of the #1 Killer of Lineman-BACKFEED !- It was good to see alot of discussion on that topic in this thread. We were centered in Livingston,Piscattiny,Morristown,Roxbury and Dover Areas and would range out from there. The People were good to us and showed extreme Grace for what they'd been through and for how long the Power outages were. Again,it's good to be back in one piece !

You guys didn't happen to have your staging area in the Livingston Mall did you? I was doing an inspection there and commented to the maintenance crew at the mall that it was a First Energy parade in the parking lot.Hambden Bob wrote:Wow ! Well, I must say that even though I was without power for six days you guys did an amazing job in my development. We normally lose power every time it rains. When Lee hit last week I had no gas for my generator and thought that we'd lose power. We didn't. The lights didn't even flicker. Our carrier is JCP&L (part of the First Energy banner as well). So, thanks for everything.Hambden Bob wrote:Why yes,yes that was our initial staging area, also known as the "White Tents Of Hell" Zone !

Good to have you back safe & sound my young friend. You guys done good out there.
Just wanted to recommend http://www.jondon.com/
They have a product called Milgo Plus, a gallon will make a lot of treatment for moldy smells and wood that got wet. Pump sprayer works great.
It's professoinal strength, has ammonium chloride in it. Better than bleach IMO.
I have no affilliation with them, just have had really good service/fast shipping.
Good luck everybody in your cleanup efforts.
