I'd try the other's first Jim. Bryant's can get the pipes but not the innerds. I've called and asked them on a Modern oak 116 and it was no dice. But if you do call, ask for Donna, she might be able to help.

Jim,

Yep that's a tough get. I mentioned that back a few posts ago. The pipes are no problem but the innerds are very tough to find. I know because I have looked at several promising projects that I nearly bought but they were missing the backpipes completely. I did a little looking myself and came up gooseggs. My Star Herald was missing the damper rod and that was hard enough to procure.
The manifold is a cast iron piece with the damper hole cast into it. If you could find someone with the same size you might could copy it at Tomahawk foundry. The damper part you could fab up from a pipe damper.
The tough part is that once it's inside the pipe, it's tricky to get out as its a tight fit. Not like someone could just slide it out to copy. You'd have to find someone that was actually replacing their back pipe at the same time.

I'm sure that the manifold can be fabricated from a steel plate and it will hold up for a long time. Again like Steve said you need something to pattern it from. Where there is a will there is a way.

Good luck finding it. You might also look for another stove that has one and get it to restore or use for parts.

mastiffdude,

I do have a complete back pipe for the "114" not to different I am sure.

The only difference is the length of the baffle plate which can be easily extended.

3 parts total

I will look into having it re-casted and then get back to you the price. I am not looking to make anything off of the deal.

Bill

Okay, when did you get the Modern Oak? It is installed or just looking demure?

I picked it about a month ago for a great price. I cleaned it up and I am actually attempting to sell it.
It is not installed. I just placed it on the hearth to takes some pictures of it.

I am pretty much dedicated to the Magee Crown and hope to have up and running before the end of January.
