Thanks all. Yes it gets easier with time. Then I feel guilty for not feeling miserable. It's crazy. The biggest problem now is my other dog Bella. She grew up from a pup with Riley to show her the ropes. She misses her very much and she mopes around now. She has become very needy wanting to be petted constantly. Naturally I'm giving her the extra attention she needs.

That's all you can do Brother. Take care of the living and remember the dead. It keeps them alive at least in your mind. As much as these things hurt, you've got to remember the joy that you had when Reily was alive. It's a bit of the yin/yang, balance of life, call it what you will, but there is always a debt to be paid for the love in one's life.

I said this before & will say it again--get Bella a companion--NOOOOO, you cannot fulfill the empty spot she has acquired since Riley passed over. Now she needs to show someone the ropes.-I'd bet it would do you some good also. ;)
