Everything usually goes up in the fall, since there is higher demand. I think I have always paid $5-10/ton more every year since I started 6 years ago.Would have to go back and look at my receipts, but I have never seen it go DOWN!
I always get mine early, just got mine a few weeks ago.

Just received my load for the year.. Price was same as the last 2 years. $305 but buying bulk you get a discount. Dropped into the basement bin no shoveling for Bobby. I am ready for winter... Very nice size load also..

I have never paid more than $280.00 per ton bagged for the last 20 years. You need to sniff out the deals and be ready to hand over cash when you find them.

Same. Last season I paid around $280 a ton and did the same this year. But, my supplier tells me when his prices are going up so I can jump in before they do. I picked up three ton before they went up; should last me quite a while if I fire up late. I may need one or two more tons before the winter is up depending on how bad it is. If this summer is any indication on how the winter will be, it's gonna be bad.2001Sierra wrote:I have never paid more than $280.00 per ton bagged for the last 20 years. Bagged 1/2 ton at Dennis Coal & Stove yesterday. Bulk price (bag your own) is 236/ton this year. First increase in a while. I've paid 220/ton consistantly over the past 3 years.
