I'm seriously hoping my house just washes away. The septic system still isn't done, it's closer than it was a week ago but the dick electrician that the contractor has hired is just that, a dick whom I'm seriously going to have a talk with as it involves my boot up his ass and his truck leaving my property. If my home washes away, I'll take my family, tools, coal stove and video games as well as all my coal and go someplace less of a dump than this one.

I'm Vernon right now, it's nice to work in my town once a year. Close to home, I get to take my sweet ass time on the jobs. It's raining cats and dogs. I went out to my truck to grab my printer and laptop to do the report and was soaked.

The best part of it? The septic contractor is at my house trying to level off my yard and get it ready for seed. He's more drenched than I am. And I'm lovin' it.

Don't worry he will get you back one way or another he will plant seeds and nothing will grow or the tank will have a leak
or pop up threw the ground You should of never pay for a Job up front only half down to start the Job and other half when Job is completed correctly

Holy c r a p! It looks real bad again and those training bands will dump a lot of rain. GLTA. I need to dust off the sump pump again and that is RARE. With the wet, mold, mosquitoes, horses getting the scratches. manure pile under water (thank God for my Cat 955) it's got me praying for winter again. I'm getting too old for this stuff.

No camera but it poured here, the streets were flooded in places because the drains are all screwed up from the flood. there's debris everywhere from people emptying their houses out to clog them up and they are already packed up. Sad to say but whole lot of places just got their basements flooded again because of that.

Just to give you an idea of how fast the river can rise, 42 feet was the crest so it's not even in the ballpark. :

I'm sick of this endless rain. I dug a trench on the North side of the house to divert all the water coming down the hill right at my foundation. I have lived here for two years and the basement has not ever had a drop in it. It has now flooded twice since Irene. I dug the trench and made a rock wall between it and the house. I started to fill in the space to raise the level above the yard. I now have a new flower bed for the deer to eat everything I plant. One good thing though the ditch is working. The water is running down it and around the house. So far no water in the basement.
Now I have found I have another problem on the East side of the house. I have found out that Chipmonks have dug out all around that side of the house under the deck and water is leeching in through their burrow.

DOES ANYBODY KNOW HOW TO GET RID OF CHIPMONKS!!!!??????
