Fall Fest

Fall Fest

PostBy: Uglysquirrel On: Sun Sep 11, 2011 7:06 pm

Last night the cooler air brought a earlier wetness to the grass, somehow my feeble mind woke up to remind me of the absolutely excellent time we had last winter in the parking lot of the restaurant, new friendships made. The funniest one there had a great Viagra story....

It may be a bit early to discuss, though a look at the stoker brings a twinkle of consideration of our next 'fest. What should we call it? Whats a good arconym ? We're looking for something pretty snappy......whatever, we have a month or so to exercise our minds as we ease into Winter.

Hummmm, come to think about it, I may not be doing anything the first couple weekends in Nov.

Thanks, MPROV. you got a POKE too?

Easy Ray and I thought that the first couple of Saturdays in November would be a reasonable timeframe proposal to slam out to the coal burning crew !!!

This is only 4-5 weeks away so you CT guys (and MA,RI and PA guys), spout off!! ROLL CALL!!!!!!!!

Then we choose what restaurant we need to invade!

I had fun last year, though it was cold out, so Nov should be a good time of year. Count me in from RI. :)

OK! Looks like 2 more on the list. :D
Uglysquirrell will set the time and place like he did last year. I don't know what he has in mind but the same place we met last year would be ok with me if it makes it any easier for him. What do you think spiker? It seemed pretty easy to get there from all points.

Lets see now.

Looks like we have a quorum especially after our esteemed moderator said yeah!

We had a nice time at the Rocky Hill, CT Wood n' Tap which seems fairly located to all, right off I-91. They provided a private room that likely promoted a lot of frequent laughing and they had two waitresses with timely service.

Dates: Hummmm, Saturday November 5th or Saturday November 12th seem far enough away from Thanksgiving so no one will get caught up in Turkey related family events. Both dates are open at the 'Tap's back room though I need to get back to them in a few days with a date selection. This timeframe was chosen since after Turkey day they are a lot more family and work parties are going on, suggesting less Coalies will attend, plus more chance of a snow date requirement.

SO,

1)We'll slam down a proposal of Nov 5th or Nov 12 and see if anyone cannot make it on one of those dates. Please reply if you CANNOT make one of those dates in the next few days as we really want everyone there (that is one difficult part of all this) :surrender:

AND

2) Lets continue the Roll Call as we'll need to know if the Police need to control the coal related traffic jam. :D

Again, regardless of the date chosen hopefully we all can get together and meet and see many new faces.

One last thing...all States are invited! I think last year we had three states attending. Will we do 4?

Easy, you the man.

Or we can have it at Diane's Grogery Emporium.

Say Nov 12th.
