West Side Auto, West Pittston, Ron Gitkos Owner

I'm posting this here because it deserves it's own thread that the search engines will pick up nicely.

My Brother has been running his own personal Bobcat around for 3 days to help flood ravaged victims and absorbing the expenses for it. He was working near my Brothers house not too far from West Side Auto which is on the corner of Montgomery Ave and Wyoming Ave. across from the Methodist church and old West Pittston high school. He asked for a grease gun for a couple of squirts of grease and was told he didn't have one.

Your brother is doing a real good thing there Richard, my hat goes off to him. As for the Ron Gitkos's of the world---

For the cost of a couple of squirts of grease, he gets this negative report ??? What is wrong with people nowadays ?

Imagine how it would have worked IF he had given the grease. A much better report for great super customer service.

I constantly do things for the neighbors and passers by for free. "Paying it forward" as they say. And it makes one feel so good !!



That garage needs to learn a lesson.

Agreed. If they really didn't have a grease gun they are a pathetic shop. If they did have a grease gun and were unwilling to help someone donating their time and equipment to the townspeople...that's not good either.

Even if West Side Auto is a used car lot & not a repair garage which I'm guessing it is they would surely have a grease gun.

That's what I was thinking, but the last time I checked a Bobcat will fit through the bay doors in a auto repair shop.
Besides, no self-respecting repair shop is without a hand-held grease gun or two.
If it was my shop the Bobcat would have left completely greased and with an oil change...no charge.

West Side Auto has become Left Out Auto. Tell your Brother "Thanx"........As for Mr. Gitkos,perhaps he now will receive a "couple of pumps" of something other than grease.........What a Complete Furschluggener!

Ron and West Side Auto are very respectable and very popular for a ton of good things.
