Is the $5,000,000.00 in us or al bongo funds, I prefer the bongo, soon the 5 million in us currency will not buy a loaf of bread.

Yes they have. Seems like an online pharmacy and online clothing outlet lately.

It's constant battle, I could make it 100% spam free. There is option for moderation queue I can use for new members posts so they need to be approved before their post count reaches X amount of posts but I want to keep as easy as possible to join and use the forum.

I do what I can and try and keep it seamless to the members. For example a lot of bots were registering with the timezone UTC-12 which is first in the drop down list. This time zone is conveniently uninhabitable. The registration process appears to go through normally but behind the scenes it's just rejected and they never get confirmation email.

You might notice the membership number has exploded. Probably 1000 of them are spammers, about a 10 a day over the past few months. They list a birthday a few days after registration and then a link in their signature. The idea is Google will find the link in the birthday list and follow it to their profile page with the link to their site. I customized script so people need at least one post to show on birthday list. Profile pages are not viewable to SE bots or the public to begin with so it's futile effort to begin with.
