Baro damper location?

Ordered a LL Pioneer top vent & want to know the best place for the baro. The thimble through my masonry chimney is 56" off the floor & the stove height is 38". Using a tee, should I put the baro:
1. at the stove?
2. before the elbow vertically?
3. horizontally right after the elbow?
4. at the thimble?
or does it even matter? Thanks.

Hi spc,
I would go on the horizontal after the elbow. I don't like the baro right on top of the stove, it gets in your way when adding coal.
