The existing 8" SS chimney is outside the house. The cleanout "T" and thimble is 60" off the ground. Very convenient.
Burned wood for 20 years, now this year changing to Crazy4 coal - Nut coal. So I am thinking about a 6" flex liner to keep the original SS Triple wall from corrosion.

The triple wall is very expensive to replace hence the liner idea.

comments please
20 foot stainless steel chimney liner for oil or gas or wood appliances as listed. Regular retail price is $599.00 . It is 6 inches in diameter and is 20feet in length. It is made of 316 Ti stainless steel .005 in thickness This will last a LIFETIME! .

not a bad idea, but you could also sell the expensive triple wall and throw up a masonry chimney instead that you won't have to reline every three years.

that would be SS liner within a SS triple wall chimney? I dunno? Might be easier to get a cleaning kit of brushes and wash it down with soda or some deacidifying agent each spring.

Run the existing chimney until it is shot...then put up a masonry chimney.
