Does DS Machine make a stove that by design burns wood? Wood and bituminous coal burn with air supplied from above. Anthracite coal burns with air supplied from below. All of the DS Machine stoves I have seen were designed to burn anthracite.

DS makes other doors with top air spinners in them for wood burning. Just pop your doors off and pop the others on.

They have a couple new stoves that geared more toward wood from what I understand. They are the MAX 110 and 160.They have secondary burn and are supposed to be clean ,claiming around 86 % efficent. If I buy one of these it would be sight unseen, and was wondering if any one had any info.I need a basement stove and these seem to be well built.

I think they make a good stove but are certainly geared more toward anthracite. It's always been my experiance that most "dual fuelers" work well but are not great at either when as a stove like a Woodstock Soapstone Fireview or the new model, can't think of the name, that have secondary burn cats are much better wood burners. They have a sale going on too right now and offer a tax break too. I have no dog in the fight just passing on the info.
