Yesterday, I drove up to DiRenzo with an empty trailer.I was going to go elsewhere but after talking on the phone I decided to try DiRenzo at least once. The procedure is pretty much the same as other breakers.I pulled onto the scale which is beyond the loading chutes and to the right. After weigh in,I was directed to make a "U" turn and pull into the big breaker building under the proper chute. In my case I was interested in straight Buckwheat for the first time.My trailer is rated at only 3500# so I asked not to go over that amount.I was asked if I wanted the coal to be washed as it was being loaded. My wife made me say yes from 57 miles away, can you believe that?? The coal is clean and the sizing is very uniform to my eye.I paid right in the scalehouse for the 3400# and was on my way.I was told by very reliable sources that my little KAA2 will burn buckwheat very nicely so I am very anxious to dial it in and give it a try. The yard is as neat as a pin and the fellow doing the loading could not have been more helpful to a first timer. The drive turned out to be a little shorter which is a further savings. It was a beautiful fall day to enjoy the outing, so how much better can it get?? Mike

This recent cold shot put the boiler and the DiRenzo coal to the test. My low tec un scientific results are that it is some of the good stuff. Burns hot, no excessive ash, minimum fines and fair pricing. I cannot expect more than that and am very happy with it. Mike

Went to Direnzo Coal this morning and picked up 2 ton of their Rice Coal. I must say it was a very nice place run by friendly helpful people, they filled my containers carefully and kept my trailer clean. I paid $170 a ton, I will be back to get more at the Summer prices

Fed my handfeds DR nut last winter. Nice stuff, clean, hot, ash about average. I'm happy. I will fill up again with this stuff when the time comes.

Made my second run to Direnzo Coal this morning for another 2 tons of rice coal and once again it was a complete pleasure dealing with the Direnzo Family, very nice people, no kidding.

I ran up again yesterday and picked up another 2.2 tons. Last Saturday I got 2.8 tons. Great people to deal with. I'll try to post pictures tonight. Dennis

Ok, let's see if I can add pictures. This was from last saturday, 2.8 tons.

I had to remove a 10" cement block to make a chute into the basement.
