What I want to know is which POTUS in our lifetime has done anything different?

It's all incremental-ism. Some take bigger steps than others, but they've all moved the ball down the field until we get here.

I just wish people would give up the left/right paradigm.

It is only the right that favors less government.

Even right leaning presidents have been thwarted by Congress just as Obama is now in his push to the left.

The "let's bomb all the brown people party" has never wanted "less" government. Takes a lot of bureaucrats to order all those munitions.

And GWB was bloating government long before the TSA/HS crap.

NCLB and Medicare Part D are just two examples.

HAHAHAHA OMG where do you get these nutty links? 2004? Been to the third world lately? Re-elect Obammer and he'll bring it to all our doorsteps.

We sit here and bicker while French Moroccans plot to kill us all.

Here, digest this gem:

In 1963, Kennedy and his administration decided that a fun way to spend the afternoon would be to support a coup against the Iraqi government. The country's pro-Western monarchy had been overthrown several years earlier, and after some intense debate and a couple quickies with Marilyn Monroe, Kennedy decided to back a coup by Abdul Salam Arif

He seemed like a good candidate, considering that he hated Communists and loved America. So, under Kennedy's instruction, the CIA sent thousands of weapons to Arif, as well as providing him with lists of suspected Communists. Then everyone feigned surprise when Arif and his cronies used their newfound firepower to slaughter thousands of these so-called Communists.

You're probably wondering where Saddam Hussein fits into this. He was an enforcer for Arif's Ba'athist Party, and personally helped out with the slaughter. Later, he became the head of the party, and dictator of Iraq

So much for blaming Bush and the Republicans

I heard the protesters are getting ripped off now! Their Ipods, Iphones, food money. They're furious! I thought they wanted the wealth redistributed!

The U.S. on Monday deployed 41 C-5 transport planes to prepare for a war game in the region that will test America’s ability to provide a rapid strategic airlift in response to a crisis, according to a report from an Israeli intelligence site, DEBKAfile.

The commies are coming out of the woodwork now that they think they have a popular movement.

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2011/10/20/pu ... latestnews

http://www.steveisraelstandswiththem.com

The brand of "consensus" democracy they support will trample the rights of the minority. "Consensus democracy" is another way to say "communism". You must support the movement to vote. Thus, a consensus is always possible. Those who oppose get it in the nose. It is the antithesis of a republic where the law rules.

Those who compare this movement to the American Revolution must have failed history. These people are not oppressed, they are not lacking in opportunity, they haven't had their rights trampled, they haven't been taxed unfairly, they have representation in government.

This movement is one thing and one thing only: A communist movement.

Communism and socialism are hate-filled perspectives.

Clouds of tear gas choked central Athens ahead of the vote as riot police intervened to separate rival demonstrators who fought with firebombs and stones outside parliament, leaving one man dead and dozens injured.

This is what happens when a country lives on borrowed money. It will take longer to happen here but it inevitably will unless the current practices change. Those changes will have to be as dramatic as Ron Paul advocates.

The bullshit jargon of those in charge will change to the easier to understand jargon of the streets. Kill, maim, rape, loot.
