IF we did not have the "LEFT WING" , hippies and all, this country would be spiraling out of control with only a right wing, heading toward certain doom.

You can't fly without two wings but you still need to live within your means.

I want to see both wings clipped so they cannot fly, but not by these jokers known as OWSers.

They cannot see that the solution is less government, not more government.

This is what happens when a country lives on borrowed money. It will take longer to happen here but it inevitably will unless the current practices change. Those changes will have to be as dramatic as Ron Paul advocates.

The bullshit jargon of those in charge will change to the easier to understand jargon of the streets. Kill, maim, rape, loot.

Definitely a picture of the future I don't relish.

Depends on what you consider doom.

Adherence to the Constitution and balanced budgets are not my idea of doom.

Desperate times tend to bring out leaders. France had Napoleon, Russia had Lenin and Stalin, Germany had Hitler, we had Washington. We could get lucky again.

If he did not have so much baggage I think Gingrich could do the job.

The Pope has become an OWSer:

http://www.foxnews.com/world/2011/10/24 ... ws#comment

I noted this comment in the Yahoo thread which cited Eric Hoffer, Medal of Freedom winner (1983):

"It has often been said that power corrupts. But it is perhaps equally important to realize that weakness, too, corrupts. Power corrupts the few, while weakness corrupts the many. Hatred, malice, rudeness, intolerance, and suspicion are the faults of weakness. The resentment of the weak does not spring from any injustice done to them but from their sense of inadequacy and impotence. We cannot win the weak by sharing our wealth with them. They feel our generosity as oppression."--Eric Hoffer

OWSers are weak in character.

I don't think Marx would have much to disagree with the Pope. It just ignores the venality and ignorance of free markets by those who purportedly would set the rules.

We already have a set of geniuses with advanced degrees in economics who assure us that what has never worked in the past ever, will work this time. Seems like the definition of dementia.

Similarly, I have also noticed that the more expensive the degrees get, and the more they are touted as indispensable credentials for any political, social or environmental decision making, the less real value the degree has in actually accomplishing beneficial change.

But it does help to concoct better sounding excuses when things don't work.

Looks like the OWSers are going to have to become part of the establishment.

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2011/10/27/oc ... latestnews

The establishment is there for a reason. Will they ever learn that?
