Pea coal

Hello, I called someone about bagged rice coal, and he left a message he had pea coal? Is it the same as rice coal, I have an Alaska channing 3 rice stoker. Thanks in advance for any information.

No pea is larger size and probably wont burn well or may even cause issues in stokers designed for rice.

Short answer......NO! The sizing goes upward from Rice to Buckwheat, then Pea, then Chestnut, then Stove coal. You might be able to use buck in that unit, but Rice is the preferred size. :idea:

Pea will not burn at all in a stoker stove designed to burn rice.
