Reconnected the vent pipes today. Added a second T at the bottom so I can clean out fly ash without shutting down. It's supposed to be in the 30's Thursday night so I'm planning to fire up then. After all my screwups last year, absolsutley one match only allowed this year so I've got to be on my toes.

Kirk,
Don't worry, I didn't make the one match club this year. I had several wood fires, several Cowboy Coal fires and this past Saturday I officially fired up the DS with anthracite with one lighter.
The plan was to wait till November 1st to fire up, but I got tired of hearing the whir of the oil fired furnace the past two weeks and I didn't want to have any more wood/charcoal fires. So, the DS has been happily idling along for the past few days at 220*; the draft inducer (since its still warm) is happily pulling between .05" and .07" of WC and my house has been a happy 73*- 77* since Saturday evening. Which is nice compared to the shock of the oil furnace; it's 73* for twenty minutes then 65*, then it's 73* for twenty then 65*.
