Blashak vs. Lenigs

PostBy: Skeeter41 On: Fri Oct 21, 2011 5:28 pm

This will be my second winter burning coal. I have a Keystoker K-6 direct vent. Last winter I burned Lenig's rice and it worked fine. This year I have been calling for over a month to see if they have and they never have any. I understand the flood caused issues. Anyways, we are getting to the point where I want to light up the old machine and have no coal. A local guy has Blashak bulk for $213/ton and Lenigs is I believe $150/ton but with my travel and gas money, i probably will have $175/ton in the Lenigs. Lenigs is an hour and a half away and the local guy is 5 minutes.

Is there a difference in the coal? Is it worth waiting until Lenig's has and save 40 bucks a ton. What is everyones thoughts. Like I said I am very coal novice.

Winter is getting close, I would buy the Blaschak and be glad I had coal on-hand...it is good coal.

Where do you live?

If you still want to pick up your coal, you could try UAE in Mt. Carmel.
