Last night it hit about 28 -32 degrees. We have had these temps once or twice so far this season had NO problem keeping house warm. Last night I could not get the house over 67-68 degrees, this is fine but was trieng to get more temp. Burning nut now was burning pea back in the october/ early november cold wave. Any tips? Baro online stove was running about 450 last nite, which is the highest I have needed it this far. Could have been my fault too, wife may have left garage door open  . But she isnt home to ask. Any thoughts?

Open the dial & the stove will respond ... albeit slowly. ;)

Side of my stove probably hits 450° this time of year. In January it's 600°- 650° -- lots of heat escapes this place.

I think the manual tell's you that if your stack temp is over 500 or 550f you are over fingering your stove. I can't remember exactly but I think I am close. If so that means your stove would have to be crazy hot!!!

When and if the chimney pipe or connector
reaches 500˚ f. (maximum temperature), the stove is
being over-fired. It is recommended that you use magnetic thermometers on the stove and flue connector,
to ensure safe operation.

Found on page 5 of manual.
