oddly enough, i was looking for a larger cfm distribution blower last evening in a grainger catalog. i'd like to find one with a rheostat built in, because too much distribution air will gradually defeat your purpose considering the surface area of the stove delivering the heat.
here's some pics of my modest ducting to the second floor...sure beats the hell out of the "i'll just open up the cellar door" theory.
i blocked 1/2 of the air coming out the front of the stove with bar magnets, the rest goes up the 6" duct. works very well.
