Hi guys, I'm about ready to fire her up but have one more question? Where, exactly, do I place the flue temp gauge. From the top of stove exhaust, how many inches down I place it? As always, Thanks guys. Den034071, Coalcracker Jack

Probably won't vary much in temp, maybe 12"-18" from the stove, if magnetic, some even put them on the stove itself too.

I use one magnetic thermometer about 16" up from the stove, and just before the baro. I put a second magnetic thermometer in the upper front quadrant of the left side of the stove. If my pipe thermometer is reading 1/2 the stove side thermometer I figgure I am getting an efficient burn. I can usually run 300* stove and 150* pipe for example. :)
