Look Dad, I carved a pumpkin!

Ok, so maybe I gave him a little help with a shovel and a reciprocating saw...but it is still his first jack-o'-lantern. Cell phone made the colors look a little funny, but you get the idea. 3 months old on the day of the picture.

Ivan is 12 lbs...not sure about the pumkin. 200 lbs would be my guess...it was more than we could move before scooping the innards out.

Ivan will grow up never knowing what it is like to wake up in a cold house.....freeze his little piggies on a cold bathroom floor......sit in from of a freezing cold window.....not even at Grampa's or Grammie's....you are depriving the poor little guy of the experience most urban kids get to live with for decades. Coal heat? Are you nuts?
Geo Thermal, Solar, Wind, Water.....trade in that Honda for a Nissan Leaf....(bet that 75 mile range won't work out well for you tomorrow with snow and rain coming at you....

Enjoy them now, it's only a blink and they are PITA teenagers....then WAAAAAAAY smarter than dad and mom......oh well, that has nothing to do with the huge pumpkin and all those harsh comments from the brethern about mom's good looks and brains.....and dads lack of the same..... Don't you feel cheap and used? Merely a means to create such a cute little guy. What the heck, that is all we are......a piece of meat thrown to the Lionesses of the world.
Now to be serious, cute young man, great parents .....because they had great grandparents.....and life goes on. 'Black Rocks' to you, Rob and family! :eek2: :dancing: toothy :woot:

Nissan Leaf!  Is there anything gayer? :funny: toothy

Nice work on the pun'kin Rob! That'll be a great pic for him to look at decades from now. Good stuff!

Now if I could get some Jerusalem artichokes to grow that big, I'd be the new supplier of ethanol to the state of MA! Of course, after I take a few kegs off the top ...
