Just finished new coal bin and auger ready for coal.
Cant get anyone to call back i have tryed 4 companies.
Please help I am sure someone has a connection.

They actually answered the phone told me the pea coal is a 155.00 a Ton in my truck.(DEEP MINED COAL)
I asked them to deliver to haverhill the told me the trucking company will call friday.

Pick up your own coal?
I think its a ten hour ride to wilksbarr penn and back.
What would the charge for a 16 wheeler with fuel and a driver per hour ? 100 dollars we shall say

Figure about $3.25 to $3.75 per loaded mile for heavy trucking. That will put you in the ballpark.

the guy who posted this isnt buying gas from national grid gas price not bad but delivery is twice gas price.

Have you called Lebanon coal on the ME NH border Thats were I get mine. I burn 1.5 ton a year what are you doing starting a power plant?? Ha Ha

If I was to have a T/L of pea delivered from anthracite country to my home in Ohio the round trip distance would be just about 700 miles (give or take) from several of the popular breakers. What should I expect as to the freight expense for a 700 mile round trip?

You will need to find a good long haul trucker for an accurate price. You are far enough away that it is more than a one day trip and the operator will be forced to rest by law. He will need to find a back haul to make it profitable.

Based on what I paid a year ago for a 500 mile round trip, I think you could expect at least $55 to 60 dollars a ton but maybe more due to the overnight consideration.

Perhaps others with experience to the West of PA can chime in and add more accurate info.
