Enough is enough, light the match and get it over with. I'm burning 40-50 lbs per day, no reason you can't join me. :D

Did you wear that sweatshirt during the Jimmy engine swap project?

Smitty, I concur with Rob. Strike the match and get the fire roaring. I've been fired up since last Saturday. Going through about 20 pounds a day running between 220°-250°.

Its time. :)

You know it's time to light up when ....
They dim the house lights and the band starts their first song?
I've got 5 ton coming, coal that is, but the driver told me next Friday. Could hit the lottery by then and save me spending a $1000 on coal. Luckily I still have about 1 ton in the bin.

Yeah I should've hooked the damn thing up today. Got sidetracked with a bunch of crap today. It WILL be lit tomorrow - that I can guarantee. ;)

33.2° and SNOWING like a bastard out there! First snow of the year. Already covered the lawn, Blazer & what's left of the Jimmy ... :o

Gotta go downstairs and push the thermostat down a little, getting too warm in here. :D

The hand-fed won't be burning until it gets cold for real.

Sure do love Anthracite.

The wife is giving you orders and you notice smoke coming out of her mouth  So I fired up the Buck Model 24 Coal Stove today. What a difference a day makes. Now, I am enjoying the warmth of the coal world and will be able to put up with the cold weather on its way. Boy, I love coal.

I did the same thing! In anticipation of the cold weather. But now its 80 in here, and I know if I turn the stove down, the wife will give me the ol "Its cold in here" in the morning. Oh well, she's asleep right now, stove is going back to idle..

I'm getting pressure from the kids to go ahead and light the match but I know that the warmer temps will be back mid week. They are so funny, its not even below 65* in the house. I tell them to go put on more clothes and they tell me I'm starting to sound like their friends' mothers. :D I tell them that to light it now and have to let it go out due to a lack of draft next week would be a quick end to this year's membership in the one match club. They don't seem to grasp the importance of that status. ;) We will wait a bit longer. Lisa

It was still a comfy 70* in the house when I woke up this morning. I'm running "Range" in it right now, so it's very slow to react, I ended up turning it up again before I left for work."
