heres my 1956 Ford 800 series tractor. The pictures are from when I bought it back in 1986. The back hoe came with it, The the trans went out and my uncle and I replaced it and painted it,then put the fork lift on the back. The pics. are from back 20 years ago and I still have the loader, but quite terrible looking now.

Here's my new toy! :D It's a 2011, 2320 compact tractor and it only had 40 hours on it. Picked it up in Lincoln, Maine. The FEL still had the sticker inside the bucket! This thing is SWEET!!!! Now I have to get a snowblower for it. A heated cab will be in order in a couple of years and then I'll be golden. A brand new one of these goes for $21,000 with the attachments and lift kit option for the mower deck. I've seen a few 2011's like this one advertised for around $18000. I got this for a steal! Seen it advertised in uncle henry's swap and sell guide online one night with no pics. Thought it was too good to be true until I called the guy and he e-mailed me some pics. I just happened to have an appointment in Bangor the next day and told him I'd swing by and take a look at it on my way back. The guy said when he moved to Lincoln this spring, he really didn't need it anymore. When I left his place I made a call to the bank and was approved on the spot. Hometown banking is nice. :) I immediately called the guy and told him I'd pick it up in 4 days. Right place at the right time. I've already done a ton of work with it like spreading out 32 yards of loam to fix a big area on my lawn and new crushed stone in the driveway. The 62" mower deck works really nice on my nearly 3 acres of grass. Had a sub-compact Cub Cadet before and it was nowhere near as tough as this JD. :punk:

1941 Farmall A with a loader ran from a PTO hydraulic pump.
I have a single bottom plow I use in the massive garden. Also have a snowplow setup for it.

This is the tractor with the loader on, obviously. This was before I got the tractor all painted up, also obviously.

Tractor is in the middle of plowing, obviously. I haven't painted any of the implements yet.

We got a 9684 New Holland that is fun to operate. The cab is comfortable since the seat is twisted a few degrees so you do not have to crank your head around all the time to see the implement you are pulling. In this photo it is tugging on a 33 foot disc harrow. It is a nice tractor...

its not likely that I will bolt up the loader in the spring. Right now the snow plow attachment is on. Single bottom plow goes on in the spring to turn up the ground.I'll put the loader on if I have a need.

I'd suspect that something that costs anywhere from $50,000..--to---$100,000.00 used had best be a nice tractor ;)

.. and to pay for it he needs to plant hay/corn for how many acres?

http://www.cffm.umn.edu/Publications/pubs/FarmMgt ... vgfarm.pdf

I just don't get it. You see with horse farming we now lose $100 per month per horse and you don't make anything up on volume. For the accountants in the group the question is, How many horse borders do I need to break even? How long does it take me to save up for a tractor like that?

.... trivia film question on War Games (Broderick et al)..... computer..... a strange game, the only way to win is not to play....

hAhAhAhAHAHHAHA.
