Made in the USA

I wouldn't have minded so much if there wasn't an advertisement of Made in the USA, I should have looked better first I was under the impression they were all made here. I was going to return them but they feel great & then I don't know if I could find anything else. If they were real reasonable I would have automatically checked, next time I'll know. At least I have a nice American made box made from recycled materials. :surrender:

That's the same with my LL Bean moccassins with the made in China tag in them--even in the catalogue, they state they are not made in the USA--one of very few items they import.Bottom line, it's stupid business to pay twice the amount to manufacture something when you don't have too.NOW, shall we talk about the butt breaking grip unions have acquired on this Country. God I hope not, been there, done that. Sam, I too have an equivelent Made in the USA recycled box. toothy

Funny, it was recommended I use an Intermatic timer to rebuild the control on my VF3000. I ordered one and when I opened up the door the little sticker said, "Made in Mexico". The SPDT relay was made in Japan. I gutted the housing on the original control and reused it. Maybe it was made in the USA but I am not holding my breath!

Hey Fred when was the last time you were there? I went thru that store a few years ago and couldn't find anything that was made in the USA and that really bumed me out.

Yep, you & me both. It's been quite a while. They used to focus on the hunters & woodsman, now it's like a yuppy wally-world but more expensive. Hey George, can you picture me in a LL Bean kayak with an LL Bean brain bucket on, coming down the Tioughnioga. toothy

Now I feel bad for recommending the Intermatic timer. Are you aware of any repeat cycle timers made in the US?

Wil-burt is the only one I can think of, and I don't know if the components are US made or not. I have a really nice Paragon timer, but it is no longer manufactured.

Oh hell, don't worry about that! ;) It is up and running and I didn't have time to look everywhere for a possibly non-existent Made in USA timer. Thanks for the recommendation, it is working fine.
