If you know what was said at those meetings then you obviously work for the White House because they are the only one's who know! ()them & the oil companies) Not Congress...Not the courts...not the taxpayers!

Ha! TOP SECRET, you're funny. Sorta like Monica's dress stain...Again you ignore information you don't like, even when its from a friendly Bush basher :nono: :nono:

We aren't talking about the publicly announced "Real Purpose" of Cheney's task force. (I doubt they would announce: " We are meeting to plan on how we can illegally fix prices & restrain trade so that we can more than double our profits for the foreseeable future.")
What actually was discussed & agreed to in those meetings is still TOP SECRET...WHY??? (even kept secret from Republican Senators with security clearance) Distract from that fact as you will, but I gave you proof of that in the link I provided. ..Check it out yourself..How many times has Bush fought the release of the decisions in those meetings, in court?...What is he hiding?

Ya think maybe meddling in the Middle East's oil would do it?
Oh no, the guy that has protected America from a strike for 7 years at the cost of his "legacy", is also out to get that same America by scouring the Middle East for more oil for us to beat the laws of supply & demand by adding more supply to bring the price up??? :wtf:

I used to think you were milking that brain injury thing, but I'm starting to believe you.

I see you're conveniently ignoring my question. If Bush is not trying to hide illegal activity, why wouldn't he just allow Republican Senators (with Top Secret clearance) to review what actually took place at these secret meetings & report the legitimacy of what was discussed ? (we don't even need details....just have honest men like Sen. Arlen Specter vouch for what was decided/discussed)
Stop the speculation.
Again, these were secret meeting between oil men in the White House (Bush & Cheney) & the CEO's of all the major oil companies. Shortly after these meetings, all gasoline & heating oil prices skyrocketed in the U.S., as did oil company profits.....Why wont they release the minutes of these secret meetings? (you & I both know but please give me your take on this?)

You know the answer to that, because Congress is notorious for having a big flapping mouth. And you have never answered the question as to how GW beats the age old law of supply and demand. It is discussed in the news virtually every day - worldwide storage reports, refinery capacity, miles driven etc and the price goes up or down based on that information. You are the only one who talks daily about GW controlling oil prices, what inside knowledge do you have that the AP & CNN don't have? None. Your GW hate filled rage has melted your brain. You make no sense.

Just a few quotes showing the reason why I believe change was needed in his country. When we coal burners, who all share so much in common, feel the need to engage in Personal Attack instead of just respectfully disagreeing with eachother, it's time to end the division in this country. Most of the time, I can disagree with my fellow Americans without attacking their patriotism, mental status or motives.........I suggest we all do the same.

My take is that "SOMEONE" else is reading your posts and men in a Black Helicopter will come snooping around your house under the guise of "Anti-Terrorist".
:P
But reading your posts is fun!
Fuel prices are dictated by who has a job and how much they are being paid plus how far do they need to drive to work.
If a select few can afford $5 a gallon and others can't, then eventually the Depot Tanks will get full and not empty, meaning not enough people are buying, so then the price needs to go down so ALL can afford to buy gas.

I think that crude is down to 55 or 60 right now. It's half what it was a few months ago.I think(and I may be wrong) the price went so high that it put the whole world into a tailspin. Many people in upstate NY have changed back to wood or like myself coal.It seems to be a supply and demand thing to me and if I'm right the demand will stay low worldwide so the price will continue to drop.I think what Bush and the american oil companys do has little to do with the price of oil, they're just along for the ride.

I already accepted your bet (can't find which thread it was on) but I said "around" $4.00 per gallon by X-mass & that I couldn't live with myself if I took 1 ton of coal from you in mid-winter! ;)
Lets keep the bet to a "friendly" bag of coal.

My obvious point is that as soon as the election is over on Tuesday, we all know that those 'Legitimate Market Forces" will cause gasoline prices to start their inexorable climb back up the ladder.

(PS...If you need fuel assistance that badly this winter, I understand former Massachusetts Congressman Joe kennedy offers a free service to those in need!....I think the tel # is 1-800-CALL JOE :P )

Edit: I'll make sure to re-open this thread X-mass week & we can check gas prices then.

Only a week later... and gas on the Mass Pike has dropped almost $.70 per gallon. I can just feel the warmth radiating from that coal headed my way from the devils grotto Christmas eve.  Buddy, you're conspiracy theory is starting too unravel...
