We have 2 of the large Eden Pure heaters, 1500 Gen 3. One is 5 years old and the other is 4 years old. We used just 1 most of the time because of electricity costs.

They both use 1450 watts/hr or 1.45 KW. Both now require new bulbs ($96) because last spring they were getting pretty useless. Up until then they were great and used mainly at night. Both are still in storage and will stay there. If the Hitzer 55 is not enough to heat the house then I will order bulbs for 1 and use it if required.
We have the 1500 Gen 3 as well. Two years now, so far so good. I'm hoping that $96 is for a full set of bulbs? You have me wondering now what I'm paying per kwh, will have to check. :)

Fred, maybe they loaned you the knockoff brand:...... "Banished From Eden". :funny:
Our first month, we left it on most of the time and did get a surprise when the electric bill came. Since then we are more careful.

Definitely better than burning oil! Agree. I'm still using only the one Eden Pure during the day, and running the Biddeford at night. (that's the electric blanket. toothy )
