I recently purchased a home that was equipped with a Leasureline Hyfire 2 coal stoker w/ coal-trol that is plumbed directly into my existing oil furnace system. The system is clean and ready to go. I received my first load of rice coal today and, to be honest, I'm a bit lost as to where to begin. I don't want to burn the house down.
Any insight would be appreciated.

Go to Leisurelinestove.com and off their main page go to manuals/warrantee you will find the PDF there for the stoves and it will give you a head start on how to use the stove and maintain it properly. I am assuming you do not have the manual for the stove.

Post a pic or two of your setup.
First, make sure your flue is clean and hooked up correctly (Not capped off or anything).
Is there a Baro Damper (Flapper in the flue pipe?
is it a DIRECT or POWER Vent (blower on the exhaust) or just hooked directly to a chimney?
Do you have working CO detectors in the house? (A REQUIREMENT!)
That the starting point. Getting ready.
Once everything confirmed, then we can help you get thru lighting it and operation.
