That would be a monumental day in the history of oil. We can at least drive down the prices by lessening the demand for it. You'd think more people would get on board, but I've come to the conlcusion that many people just don't want to be bothered with the extra work. Add all the false coal burning rumors that are flying around, and you get a lot of people that just don't have enough of a passion for saving money.

I was on 3 times durring my work day today and also called the Stove Hospital, yeah I may have an addiction but it is still cheaper then when I used to go to the tittie bars .

Respectable I must admit but without knowing consumption it could just be good inventory control. Hands up those who have gazed at their coal pile blankly (no matter what the size) for say more than 5 minutes, THAT defines idiocy. You can't just buy your way to being head idiot, you must earn it.

Not bad...but how much do you think you will burn this season? I have 9 tons on hand, sadly it will probably all be ashes by Memorial Day.

This is only my first year and I already have one of my browser tabs set to this site and check it every day. I'm always crunching numbers and getting all the info I can to debunk any and all nay-sayers. I especially love shutting down the environmentalists and I'm slowly putting all the data together to prove that burning anthracite is significantly greener than the overrated pellet. It's a good thing the site is blocked on my work computers or I would get nothing accomplished at work. Thanks to the rest of you addicts this has been an enjoyable learning curve and there have been no surprises. I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't read all about puff backs and had to experience one without knowing what happened and why. Now I can predict if and when they will happen and really enjoy watching the dog leap into the air when it does. Fortunately my thimble is above the fireplace and when the puff back (we call them "burps") occurs, the glass fireplace doors pop open with very little dust if any.

Reading about puff backs should help you avoid them not enjoy them.

Actually, what I'm trying to do is have 5 years worth of coal on hand, so 15 skids, such that if that idiot in the White House gets elected again , and this country really goes to heck more so than it is , I have enough heat to ride it out. I'll probably burn 3 skids of coal and 3 cords of wood this winter. I use both.

11 tons of bulk ant. pea coal in the cellar for this year.
cheaper than gas supplied by National grid
I got a letter from National grid they want to do a safty inspection on my equiptment.
Because in the dead of winter I only pay the ten dollar minimum charge.
When they call I tell them I need a few day to remove the bypass piping before they can expect.

I too would like a stash, bury it in my back yard have a hole you go down to the coal yes like a coal ole mine about a million ton would do!
