A measure of how much I like this site is that I actually donated money to help keep it running. :)

Up at 4am just to prove to myself the coal fire was still going in the beasement - it was and I resisted not playing with it. On to the wood stove which I had to gather my starter stuff, my torch just in case, 20-30 matches and some wood - 20 minutes later after getting the fire going I went back to bed.

Keeping score for my sleep deprivation battle -->

Coal 1
Wood 0

I wonder if the oil burners have their own forum like this where they are admitting or not admitting their addiction ?

"oh I bought 300 gallons from Joe Oil and its burning great this year - much better than last year"

"I switched my BrandA oil burner to BrandB and I'm now getting 24 hour burn times with just one match!"

Yes...I go on ebay and cl to search for things with the word 'coal' in it.
I must admit I'm a little stumped when I find doll house miniature coal scuttles - where I remind myself no I really cant use it and no I cant give it to my daughters to play with.

Browsing old threads, I think we need more addicts to comment 8-)

I named my coal furnace "Ashley" and my wife sometimes gets jealous of her :D
Where's Lee? "He's down there petting that bitch again"

Well OK I guess a nice painting. You would think that the artist would have remembered to paint the eyebrows for Gods sake. The lady is really ugly, depressing color palette - I pass.

Wow, look at that wonderful building. When Jeddos done with it let's make it a museum a testament to human struggle. I really like that photo.

Do I have a problem? Hold it don't answer that one, let's try do I have a coal addiction problem?

Doesn't everyone carry a piece of coal around in their pocket? Keeps me close to the burn when I'm not home! Wife thinks I've lost it. I keep reminding her to bury me with my stove...and the left over coal!

I always appreciate a leader of men. Now if you can prove you put that in your will then I give up, you win.

I'm addicted to burning anthracite, and I'm addicted to this site.

I scan this forum pretty much every day.

Luckily, my wife loves burning coal almost as much as I do.

My stove burns rice coal but I found a lump of ant coal about the size of your fist with a flat spot on one side. I put it on top of the stove so I could look at glisten and shimmer in the dining room light while the rice coal is burning inside the stove.

I am not sure of the diagnosis of this but it does sound a bit sad to admit it.

My name is Larry and I'm a coal addict.
