I agree. I liked the old format. It was one of the best and easiest to use that I have seen.

No speed issues here. I've got DSL at almost T1 speeds. The new look is obviously a work in progress. As our admin had previous stated moving to the new release of the underling forum software will bring new and useful features. My suggestions ...

I read all the new posts each day. With the new look after reading a new posting it's more steps to go back to select the next new posting. My wish would be a "hot button" like the "Post Reply" at the bottom of each page that takes you to the new posting list.

I'm a big fan of using the keyboard instead of the mouse. So for me it's important to me what's the default active field. For example the long in page no longer has the "longin name" as the default field. No big problem but it does require hitting the tap key several times and watching until the desired field is highlighted. Is it possible to have the control keys (ctrl, alt, shift, etc.) be used with specific regular keys to get navigate a web page? Kind of like the short cut keys in other applications.

I guess I can only access this at work if I can't load the forum at hoome  I can see a severe loss in production in my future :D

When viewing the available threads at http://nepacrossroads.com/ (board Index), I only see last posters name and time under the "LAST POST" but not their topic description.

The little icon will take you to the last post, the title is custom modification I'll be adding.

My only guess is you have some security software giving you a false positive and/or its having trouble validating something in the code. It's not fix but try turning off any virus scanners or anything else you have running then try loading a page, turn them back on immediately.

If that's the case you can create an exception for this site (is that correct ADMIN?).

I really like this new format. I always like software upgrades. I just downloaded a Firefox upgrade too. I can read you all messages just by touching a blue icon. No need to double-click. Cool as the other side of the pillow. :D

Coal & Wood, go by a new or used monitor for $40. Not that cheap, are you?

It depends on what is causing it.

Not cheap, just frugal.

This monitor works well enough for my needs, I figure I can keep it until it quits. The small print fussies are better since I fine-tuned the focus adjustment. If it acts up again I can always hit it with a hammer (I own a hammer---actually many hammers of many different types and purposes). :flush:

Is there anyone who doesn't use Firefox?

Thanks, JC

I saw the "A", hadn't gotten around to figuring out what it was. My screen is 14" diag., so the default fonts are small at times.

I could move over 6 feet and use the other PC with the newer monitor, but then I have to leave MY desk, the power center of my evil empire...
