It's a heck of a bargain considering where he's living Cape!CapeCoaler wrote:Better stock up...
At that price not much of a margin...
Those 2 increases were about $25/ton...

That's crazy, my COST for a TT load of bagged coal is nearly that much.sterling40man wrote: He's sold about 10 TT loads since last fall. At $287.50 a ton, how could I go wrong!

Rob I know you are up north but I hope you're not payin more than $250/ton for a TT...

That doesn't seem right...$210-220 per ton for bagged rice, and they get it trucked 400+ miles for $15-25 per ton????CapeCoaler wrote:The dealer cost for bagged delivered is about $235/ton...
It is 450 miles one way, would you like to submit a "bid" for my next load? If you can get it here for <$250, YOU'RE MY MAN!CapeCoaler wrote:Rob I know you are up north but I hope you're not payin more than $250/ton for a TT...

I live 800 miles from coal country. If my dealer buys coal for let's say $225 bagged, then he's not making much of a profit selling it for $287.50. He didn't tell me how much he was paying.......I'm guessing. He said that it gives him a return trip and he knows he's helping people around here by selling it at a good price. My hat's off to him.

His profit is having the return trip 'paid' for by the coal he sells for about $50 over cost...
