Manometer/power venter speed

Manometer/power venter speed

Ok, so I am very new at this. After reading everyones advice to get a manometer to set the draft I got one. I am still a bit lost on how to set the baro with it? I have read all I can and understand that the stove should be at a full burn when setting? But I don't understand how fast the powervent should be running when trying to set everything up?
wouldn't changing the vent speed also affect the draft? Or am I just not reading something right.

This whole draft thing, I have to say, really confuses me.

ON the Baro, there is a weight, set it approx. .04 on the scale, then adjust your speed (or some, there is a plate that you adjust for the draft) on the power vent until it just start to open on a 3/4 to full burn and check your manometer for .04 approx. Then the baro will fluctuate when/if it need more or less draft.

Yes, the more the speed, higher draft. therefore, the baro will open MORE to reduce the draft on the stove and maintain whatever you set it at (.04).
