Has anyone used a Jotul 507 and kept track of how much coal they put through it in a season and how big an area the heat with it? Thanks a lot in advance.

they are great stoves. we put one in the kitchen to heat it and the back porch as well as the upstairs via a celing/floor grate.

like said before, they are a necular reactor. 1 ft square and 32" tall it is amazing. use about 15 - 20 # a day during the cold days. and burn it at the "1" or "1 1/2" setting. they can burn up to 932* , so says the maker.

usually run it at 450-600 cant say enough good....hope to get another soon to introduce my sister to the benefits of no oil..
several here will tell ya.... 8-)

The Jotul 507 is a great anthracite burning stove !!! Cast iron, deep fire pot, easy to shake the rotory grate... Mine will burn @ 550*F for over 12 hours on one load of coal.
Last winter we heated 3,000 sq/ft with three Jotul 507's in Mid Coast Maine
At 0*F outside temp we burned about 25 pounds per stove per day.
