I have 500 sq./ft. I want to humidify. Looking to spend $100 hopefully not more. This place bakes dryer than Death Valley with the coal stove. I've rigged up turkey pans with wet towels hanging off coat hangers, wet towel always hanging off the door etc.

Anybody have recommendations? Over capacity is better than not enough. Trying not to listen to too much noise either. Not looking for ultrasonic with the white mineral dust issue. Wick type, console would probably be best. Have considered a Sears console or Honeywell. Been looking at reviews on amazon which ruled out one of the Honeywells. There's Lasko and a million other brands, Essick is one. I don't need bells and whistles, but quiet and adequate. Tired of putting cookie sheets and brownie pans on the stove and filling them all the time.
I did see a unit you can put over your hot air registers, it can also stand alone, just a lot of wicks and convection, no electric. Looks like it might help a little...

Unfortunately we are going through a global warming, and here is the compiled evidence, on the local climate, you may have noticed it differently.

Happy thanksgiving
