Deadline to register wood boilers approaching

Boy, if this isn't a way for the local Government to start taxing users for alternative heating!! Whats next, indoor coal stove users will need a permit to use their stove that cost $100.00 a year!!

It says for outdoor boilers. I believe it is an attempt to curtail their use as they are fairly inefficient and they don't make happy neighbors. Some states are thinking of banning them altogether. I seriously doubt they will attempt to regulate any solid fuel appliances in the home, I sure hope not.

Yeah these things are smoky nasty looking things and I can understand what they are trying to do (eventually).. But one idea leads to another when it comes to these ideas from local Governments.

I don't have one, but before I ever registered my "outdoor" boiler with the government I would build a frame around it and use it as an "indoor" shed heater.
