While checking tonight, the stoker was on and a lot of air was blowing out the little fan so I wired it to come on with the stoker. I have, during a call for for heat, turned the stoker off and check the draft, -.04. I haven't checked it lately at rest but it typically is a strong neg .02
What are you using for a draft control? According to the manual, your draft is higher than recommended.

Rob
Using a barometric damper. I added a little weight to it last night and got the draft down to just a smidge over ( or I guess it's really under ) neg .02. I also removed 1 more pin from the timer. Still burning tonight so I guess I haven't killed it yet.

That's a good thing!

What size is your flue pipe and draft control? 8"?

yes. 8" all the way to the top 27 or so feet. I had to add 3 of the little hooks from shop light chains to help with the balance on the barometric damper in order to get to the neg .02

Your trick with the extra weights will work, and so would a second draft control. Your method is certainly more cost effective.
