After intentionaly shutting the 520 down, is there a correct method to restart the fire , for instance move the ashes off the pot ring or leave them on. Turn the stoker on for a bit to bring un burnt coal Up

What I do is clean out the burner of all ash. Then I throw in about 7-10 pieces of charcoal soak it down with charcoal lighter or kerosene. Flip the coal auger dog out of the way (back). Light the charcoal let it burn for 10 minutes or so then turn on the blower/auger with dog still in released position and let that burn until the charcoal is mostly white. Then open your air adjustment all the way open put about a half of shovel of coal to completely cover the charcoal (don't worry you won't smother charcoal). Let that burn about 1/2 - 3/4 of an hour until you have a good complete burn then turn your air down to original settings and reengage your auger feed dog and walk away until you get an outfire because you forgot to feed the dragon :oops: ;-}
