I just purchased a 130M manufactured in 1954 and in pristine condition, it even has a brand new domestic hot water coil! toothy :woot: :flex:

It has been in a dry basement it's whole life and I am purchasing it from the original owner, I even got the sales brochure from 1951! Saturday I will be picking it up, is an easy winching out of the basement with my hydraulic tilt trailer (which already picked up an AA 260 for Ls Farm! )

Even cooler is that it is only 45 minutes away from where I live.. so no big deal to go pick up on Saturday. Already got the manuals and literature, auger assembly, a nice BG NV circulator, and all the other misc pieces removed (aquastats, gearbox, misc fittings, etc.).

I guess the two Gentleman Janitors I bought are going to be fixed up and sold this winter. :P

So how much? :)

I have developed a sudden case of AA envy. I will go immediately to the cellar and stare at my new Lennox hot air oil fired furnace and drink large amounts of Yuengling.

By the way-37 degrees here now, going down to 25 tonight. The new furnace has not operated since it's test run, and the Harman is chugging along happily.

True, and all the work to move it and connect it, that's surely Manly-Man stuff.

You don't suppose he will pay someone to install it do you? :poke:

I was just on AA's website, I didn't realize the Anthratube was still being manufactured. I find it very interesting.

The price is interesting too. The ones they build today have an interesting guarantee. Its says 10 years (which is 10X what most boilers are guaranteed), that is crossed out with a pen and 25 years is written in, and then that is crossed out and it has "LIFETIME" typed in there. I thought that was interesting. :)

Yeah right, I might just let someone in my house to do some plumbing! :box:

With regards to the current status of AA, it is kinda cool to think that something designed so long a go is still manufactured and supported with documentation and parts. It has got to be some kind of record. I can't think of anything that has endured that much water under the bridge!

Ya think there will be any items that are made today (with the exception of the AA boilers of course) that will still be in use and supported by the OEM in 2060?
