Hey Admin....What's this mean???? [BOTS]

Who is online
In total there are 12 users online :: 12 registered, 0 hidden and 0 guests (based on users active over the past 5 minutes)
Most users ever online was 39 on Tue Dec 19, 2006 3:31 pm

Registered users: BugsyR, chubs, Devil5052, gambler, Gary in Pennsylvania, Google [Bot], Google Adsense [Bot], mozz, NEPAForum Admin, sunline20, WNY, Wood'nCoal
Legend: Administrators, Global moderators


What are the two 'Bots'??? They're always on whenever I come in.

Bots AKA spiders crawl the web to index pages for search engines. In your example it lists the google bot, it just means it loaded page. Google alone loads about 1000 per day. The others don't come around as much, they don't know what they are missing. :D By deafult they are listed in the online list but i'll be removing that at some time. That and about a hundred other things..

Bots names will no longer show in the user online however they still show up as hidden, so if you see a bunch of hidden members listed its just them. I'm sure someone will be wondering why there are so many people hiding...

Saw the google [Bot] a few minutes ago. That was the first time I saw it.

There is some kind of bug in the software, you shouldn't see it. It's here nearly constantly, Google crawls thousands of pages each day.
