It's a Germer. I just love Germer stoves. They were all so well made and of very high quality. This one is exceptionally beautiful. These are excellent heaters. Thanks for sharing. Ane welcome to the Coal Forum.

Wecome to the forum. You have a very nice stove. So many beautifull details on it, they made very nice stoves at that time!
Do you use it for heating?
The 2 best qualities of these stoves are: they are beautifull and they are efficient.

That is a Gorgeous Stove, if you don't mind me asking what is a Stove of that detail worth, not that I could afford it of course.

Did you acquire it in this condition or did you refurbish it ?
Have any side view pictures and any close ups ?
Is the decor in the background relevant to the period of this stove ?

How many stoves in your collection and what is the other favorite ?

Keith,

Never mind, you have a Glenwood #6 now! ;) That is a very handsome Germer. They were a very high quality and pricy stove of their day and are great examples of the high tech coal burners available then, (read now!) Is it operational and heating your home? Sure hope so.

Thanks---No It is just to look at. I have a cauldron in it for fire effect. It is such a work of art I hate to use it....

Value on these is so subjective...in other words you may and should wait to sell it for the best pric you can get. I have seen these go for around $8,000 restored. This is a nice one because the side shades are rarer. Decor in background does fairly match the period....1880's....without getting too technical. I have like 12 o 13 stoves right now. I'll post more pictures.....I love the baseburners.
