Nice, I think I would have made a 2nd floor or have a couple lifts for more car storage.

I've always dreamed of having something like that. I'd drive my cars in, close the front, then the floor would lower me down to a massive underground garage. Outta sight, outta mind ... :D

I don't think it would be too easy to work that manually. He better have a generator for power outages.

There's a house like that about 10 mi from me. half the back opens up just like that one, it has a chopper inside, and it is a house.

That thing lifts way too slow for my patience level. I'd have to hook up some mega hydraulics to get that thing to whip open. Good way to get rid of the tax man too!

 I noticed that too! My first thought was why the guy isn't pulling out with a '12 Corvette ... or at least a Topkick. He's obviously got the coin. :gee:

You got that right! The best thing I ever did was buy a double speed garage door opener. It opens double speed, but shuts "normal" speed. Now I go nuts when I see someone other garage door open. They seem so slow!

Found something for his Garage....

267mph (and, it has a CD player)

2 gallons per minute, and 38 miles to a $28,000 set of tires.

$1,700,000! ..... production run already sold out!

Why don't I know about this?

The "door" is indeed too slow for my tastes. I was expecting to see something a little more impressive when the door opened. I'd have a few lifts in there and a second floor and an impressive stable of all my dream cars...and none of them would be from Japan. Heat supplied-of course-by an EFM.

I guess there wasn't enough $$$ left over for a driveway!

That "garage" is actually an airplane hangar. My brother has 1 for his plane. Notice the recess in the center of the rear wall. That is for the tail. His hangar door is a bifold or trifold horizontally to open it to the outside. And that is about the same speed as his opens.. In fact it appears that maybe the front is just a facade that is attached to the folding door.

And yes he keeps more that just a plane in it. In fact he can pull the 4 sled enclosed snowmobile trailer inside to service the wheels and axles. Heated with gas. And a fridge for when he lands. He was looking to get a remote phone operated control for the heater to be able to call in and heat the plane before he would want to fly somewhere.

At the same airport, Heritage Field, in Limerick, PA there are auto related businesses in there and of course the local FAA approved and certified plane repair center. His hangar backs up to the plane mechanic. They are good friends so servicing the plane is never an issue for him.
