And I hope to be a base burner owner because of William and reading (envying) all the other base burner owners. I'm sold on them!

But you have a nice """"""cooking stove""""""""LOL

I'm shure when you will be ready for it, the perfect stove for you will arrive.
(when having my VigII for the first years, I was shure I would never have an antique stove. Now you see that a lot of things I say are not truth)

Have a certain make or style in mind yet ?
I highly recommend taking a day to go up to the StoveHospital in RI and speak to Emery and Brandon when your ready.

Going up there has been recommended to me a few times and what is interesting is I found the stove hospital site just before I found this forum. I definitely will speak with them when I'm ready. The wife and I need to save up some money on the side for it. If I can make money on that restored cannon heater of mine, for it's rarity, at least, then I may be able to buy one before next winter.

There are different designs of Base Burners. There are three basic types, each has the same basic concept but are very different internally.

Beautiful stove. But what does that mean about a cauldron?

Bob,
Think it's the light inside the firepot he's using for the picture.
