How high is the total height of the chimney. If it's 15' or more it should draft once it gets some warmth inside it. A cold chimney won't draft. Make sure there aren't any big obstructions around it like large pine trees or buildings next door that will affect airflow over the chimney.

it might be 14 total foot high or 15 , nothing around the chimney totally clear but I didnt hook up the baro yet , I was wondering if the chimney had to warm and it will draft or not , I know its 4 foot above my spouting , :(

I have 15 ft of prefab chimney that I installed in september and before the stove was hooked to it some days it would draw and other days you could feel air rushing down it. Now that the stove is hooked up and running it always has draw and as matter of fact almost too much draw.

Yes it has to be warmed up before it will draft any chimney should be warmed up try it out with what you got and if it does not draft right then just put another 3 or 4 ft. on it and hook up the baro first :)

Nope the bigger the better :D Get stack temp up 115 to 120 with paper or cardboard first
Then start building your coal fire it should draft nice for you ;)

14-15' is not much chimney for coal, it can work in some applications and be troublesome in others. I would add 3-4' at least, if your not making a minimum draft the baro may impact it negatively.

I have mine 4ft out from the side of the house and up 18ft been up since 1994 my roof is 15 ft from the top of
The pipe hood and I have no problems with the draft if I hold the baro shut it will pull .010 to .012 on the draft meter I have the baro set at .04 on a windy day it will still will pull .06 to.08 The hole in the pipe for the draft meter is 23 1/2" above the stove flue And 8 1/2 below the baro The reason it is 23 1/2 above the stove flue is I have a heat reclaimer on top of the stove flue The hole is in between the reclaimer the baro But like you said And I said not all setups will be the same what works for one my not work for the other ;)
