sorry to bump this thread after so long but wanted to let folks know what this unit is before i lock the thread.
This is indeed a Crane model 404 Stoker, these were a few test series units provided to a few of the largest dealers to play around with to their hearts content. Your from PA so my guess is that it came from a dealer called Dussinger Stoves.
These were the precursor to the Crane Stokers (which were much larger with full size hoppers, better protected electronics, much thinner gauge steel, decorative tile exterior). Im not sure I would put alot of time into this "beta" unit BUT a super easy and cheap option would be to remove the grate and weld some plate steel inside to make airtight and then you have one hell of a heavy duty woodstove that would last ages.
