Those big ponds are supposed to keep us warm this time of year! (and dump lots of snow on us for riding) Actually you have to be pretty close to benefit.

Guess I'm taking the truck to work tomorrow. Car has racing slicks on it. Time to but the snow tires on.

I fired up the other burner (40K) on stove and it's cranking!

We just got dumped on, about 8-12" last night/this morning. Supposed to get 4-8" more by 6pm tonight.....got up at 5am to blow out the driveway(s) and sidewalks.

Already tested out the old snowblower I bought....worked good until I forgot to turn on the gas (Has a little valve on the bottom of the tank) oops!

Recieved about 10 inches of Lake Effect Snow, 25 degrees out, my coal stove is on setting 2 and it is 74 degrees in house, I just opened a window...

I fired the hand-fed early this morning, my poor Alaska was working hard but couldn't keep the place warm enough. By this afternoon it probably will be too hot in here. Plenty of hot water, though! :D
I just opened a window...
How many oil burning neighbors are opening windows?

Put my helmet next to the stove for about ten minutes, then drove the Harley to work. About 37 degrees but it was still a nice ride!

23 degrees right now, the stoves are cooking. I'm wearing shorts. I saw my neighbor (oil heat) step outside for a minute...wearing a sweater. :D
