The Cold Weather Is Here!

You have the just about the same forecast as I do. If they are right we will be waking up to 19* on Tuesday. Thankfully, the winds that brought that cold will be out of here. I guess we will see how the Mark 11 does then. I'm not really worried because it has a lot of heat left that we usually don't need to tap but it will be interesting. Happy New Year!

-38 not a breath of wind.
Trooper wanted to go hunting today, I'm thinking not.
He was talking about going out and doing some preditor calling, I imagine even the preditors are laying low in this.
Coal is only available late Friday and Saturday, but with the holidays and all, I'm running low. I've loaded two tons by hand in my truck, it's good exercize but probably a bad idea today.
I'm thinking hot apple cider, feet on heated floor.

Yep, she's set & ready to go George--chompin at the bit as it were--I already back dragged down to the barn just to be sure. As long as I keep that plow a couple inches up so I don't get into all this muck, we're gonna be fine. But I know if I get jammed up, you could always drag out the BEAST & come rescue me. :D Happy New Year neighbor.

These 40* - 50* temperature changes in the same week are really starting to piss me off! It was in the upper 30's yesterday and it's supposed to be -12* tonight on the border with a wind chill of -30*. The snowmobilers are all pissed off. We've only got about 6" of snow on the ground. What a CRAZY winter so far!!!! Don't head up here Rick! I'll let you know when we've got enough snow for you!

Amazing this is first real cold week....as compared to last year.... last winter was depressing... no stove... this winter is upbeat as a stove makes a home a home. :D No regular deliveries of oil to my house anymore... those oil bills were so hard on us financially. :!:

Was 18* when i got up this morning. Stove was 400* and the house was 72*. Mmmm...coal heat. Weather weirdo says the high is only going to be 20* or so. House is 74* and the stove is 450* right now.

Tonight its going to drop into the single digits, 9* is what they are saying. Stove will probably get turned up...or maybe not..depends. I don't care about the cold, I just don't want to see any snow. I hates it.
