The Cold Weather Is Here!

This weather is goofy. My wife called, said the house was 78.8* and it was nearly 40* outside. She turned the stove down to 3 on the dial and has the stove idling back at 300*.

Woke up this morning to a forecast of 55* - what in the world is going on? I'm back at idle as this is forcast to go on through at least Saturday. The lows are supposed to be hovering around freezing. I actually hope it's a little warmer because of the wedding. We are pulling the RV around and hope to be able to use the additional bedroom and bath to accommodate my in laws (at their age they appreciate a retreat from the chaos) but won't be able to if it's below freezing. I guess we'll see what happens. Have a good day, Lisa

Yes, having thrown out Tipper and now having made a cool $100MM as a result of lying to sheeples for years, he is now laughing in his new CA coastal house filled with young bimbos. Oh well, time to get serious - fire up the old Learjet (an eco friendly 500gall per hour plane of course) and go off to the Bahamas to lecture to more stupid people. He send his regards to his PR people. After all as a failed politician who was looking at the unemployment line and who had never even made passing remarks about global warming, he suddenly became a climate expert thx to his soon to be out of work political aides - great marketing. You see, you really can fool all the people all the time. All this of course, is an inconvenient truth.

Failed politicians never look at an unemployment line, that's for the little people. They just go to work for the ones that run things & have been paying them off for years, then after a while they are pushed back into politics to yet again influence your stupid people into putting them back in & expecting someone different than before. Sound familiar?

Got up to 32* and sunny here today. Everyone I saw said "What a beautiful day". I said "I know, huh". Funny thing is.......if it would be September.........we would all say "Man, it's getting cold out"!

Saw something on the news last night. We are about 90 heating degree days less than last year at this time and about 250 below normal. It sure don't feel that way.......maybe it's because we've only had a couple of -30* mornings so far. We usually have at least 10 by now. Saw some snowmobilers from the Hershey Penn area today. They are loving the snow and said the trails are awesome.

It's in the high 40°s here today. Yesterday it was 51° when I got home. This something hasn't been much of one. I'm OK with that though.

The EFM hasn't caught a breath since 0600 this morning. 5 degrees on the porch, and the Northwest wind has the windchill well below zero. My wife went out to get the paper and said it felt like her face was going to crack. Could be worse, we are "holding fast" at 71 inside and Ivan is asleep in his crib. I don't know why I waited until today to go get another pallet of coal...better start the truck early.
